Off to Utah…

Off to Utah, for ICSA Consortium meeting (MCR and I were invited by Novell)

Purolator Sucks!

FutureShop ships via Purolator, so I tried to check the status of my package. Sadly, unless you’re running on Windows, you can’t track your packages.

So I flamed them nicely:

cc: Purolator Web Team.

The fact that it’s nearly 2005, and you *STILL* don’t support anything other than MS IE, or Netscape 4.7 is unacceptable.

Even on the Mac, the default browser (Safari) isn’t support either. And I’m sorry, but linking to Netscape 4.7, an unsupported browser from 2002 must be some sort of a joke.

Since I can’t use your system, you can bet I won’t be a customer any time soon.

Jakalope CD

I bought the new Jakalope CD - the first CD I’ve bought in probably close to a year. I’ve had it 2 weeks now, so I’m in a position to review it.

Conclusion: Not worth it.

You’ve probably heard the ‘Pretty Life’ single on the radio - well, there’s about 3 good tracks on the disc, and that’s one. The rest doesn’t stand out at all - it’s repetitative, boring and sounds identical. Sadly disappointing…

Nintendo DS

Read this article on Tuesday, and decided I needed one of these too. I’m hoping it arrives before I head to Utah for the conference, so I have something to do while living in airports for 2 days!

SpongeBob SquarePants, the Movie

Today Van and I took her younger sister and brother out to the movies. The 4 of us squeezed into the Mini, and headed off to the local SilverCity. It was Quoc’s (pronounced ‘wook’) first movie, so he quite enjoyed himself. It was amazing watching a 3 year old eat an entire of tub of popcorn to himself, and then ask for more!

No real comments on the movie - it was really just a 90 minute episode of the daily cartoon.

A heater for the winter… bantoft style

So Ken and I discuss getting a little heater for the winter. But this is Ken, he doesn’t pick up the plain ceramic heater as discussed… he buys a digital heater that rotates, equipt with a remote control.

And finally, it’s not a ‘Ken’ electronic buy until he pulls out the manual and reads it.
